The East Side Showroom is not just a family owned restaurant and bar, but a "Showroom" for the arts in all its delightful diversity! ESSR is set in Austin's vibrant East side. It resonates with an appreciation of art, a bohemian spirit and Texan hospitality. Designed by Mickie Danae Spencer, owner, creator, and metal worker. This space embodies her talented eye for detail from the hand crafted furniture, periscope draft system, bar, to chandelier and lamps. The ambience reflects the cafés, music halls, and cabarets of pre-World War II throughout Eastern Europe and America. The walls display an ever changing art gallery from the local artist community. Silent movies with the likes of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd with live music that is inspired by the music halls of the 20's to the 40's.

Executive Chef, Paul Hargrove is dedicated to the art of creating the ultimate dining experience by using the freshest ingredients with his culinary classic, contemporary and French techniques. This clever and innovative chef creates an ever changing menu designed around the seasonal availability of locally-grown and sustainable-raised foods. See the "CUISINE" page for menu details.

Executive Barkeep, Kelly O'Hare, has a profound appreciation for the classic American cocktail. Joined by his bar staff, these talented and knowledgable mixologist transport you back in time to the golden era of cocktails. However don't be surprised to also see new and creative twist as well. They use fresh squeezed juices and artisanal liquors, along with hand-made infusions, tinctures and syrups to create unique cocktails reminiscent of the speakeasies of the prohibition era.
